Liturgical Ministries
Liturgical Ministries enrich our celebration of the Eucharistic banquet, which is the source and summit of our Catholic faith.
These ministries are simple in some ways, since they do not demand much of a time commitment outside the context of Mass. And in another way, they can be very demanding, because spiritual discipline is required for preserving the appropriate level of reverence, and maintaining an awareness of the deep spiritual significance of these ministries.
At St. John the Beloved, we strive for rich, meaningful liturgies which will inspire and refresh the congregation. The role of the lay ministers in this effort cannot be over emphasized.
We are in the process of developing pages highlighting each of the specific liturgical ministries. So far we have pages developed for
Ushers,
Greeters,
and
Extraordinary Ministers.
We will continue developing these pages in the coming days and weeks, so check back occassionally, and see how beautiful serving at the table can really be.
If you are already an active Liturgical Minister, you can find the Liturgical Ministry schedules
