The EDGE is open to all 6th-8th grade students and is the faith formation program for all middle school students. Afternoons of fun and faith are planned to jump start the week.

The EDGE Meetings
The EDGE: Middle School Youth Ministry meets on Sunday afternoons in Madden Hall from 3:30-5pm during the school year. The EDGE is a requirement for all eighth graders who are planning to be confirmed and are NOT enrolled in a catholic school. This program is the faith formation program for all 6-8th grade students.
Team E
This is the Liturgical Team made up of high school and middle school teens which serves at the 5:30pm Vigil Mass every 5th week.
This group is open to any 6-12th grade student or college student, and serves the following roles:
greeters, ushers, lectors, altar servers, extraordinary ministers of the most holy Eucharist (must be confirmed and at least 16 years old).

Special Events
The EDGE Kickoff
The first Sunday Following Labor Day Weekend. It is held from 3:30-5:00 pm in Madden Hall. The EDGE is open to all 6th-8th grade students. A night of high-energy fun and faith are planned to jump start the year.
The Junior High Youth Rally
Held the first Saturday in November, the Diocese of Charleston invites all middle school aged tweens and teens to White Oak Retreat Center for a full day of faith, fun, and excitement. Nationally renowned speakers along with a house band provide over 700 Catholic middle schoolers for an unforgettable event. Thanksgiving Basket Project
This is held the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving weekend at an area participating church. This includes a prayer service, loading family meal groceries, and driving with your family to drop off all the trimmings for a thanksgiving meal to a family in need.
Catholic Youth Stand Up For Life
This event is held on the second or third Saturday in January to coincide with the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision. This is a trip to Columbia where young (and old alike) march to the steps of the state house building. This is an all day event.
Jr. High Retreat
This is a weekend retreat sponsored by the Diocese of Charleston open to all middle school students. It is held during the first weekend in May. More information can be found about this event through the Diocesan Youth Ministry website.
Jr. High CLI
The Jr. High Christian Leadership Institute is a week long retreat sponsored by the Diocese of Charleston open to all middle school students. It is held during the third full week of June. More information can be found about this event through the Diocesan Youth Ministry website.
