Stewardship of Treasure
Thank you for visiting our page on the Stewardship of Treasure. We are grateful for all that God has given us, and we strive to steward our material resources in a way that Glorifies the giver.St. John the Beloved uses the offertory gifts of our parishioners to provide a myriad of services, and support a variety of
Outreach Ministries.
Of course, critical programs such as
Faith Formation
and
Evangelization and Reconciliation
are completely dependent on offertory revenue for their continued existence. Without these programs, we would not be able to
build community within the parish,
and reach out to the world around us. In addition to supporting critical programs and services, a percentage of all parish revenue is given directly to provide for the needy of our area, and to assist those in need as we find them. We understand that we have a responsibility to not only support our local parish, but also the larger Church. That is why St. John's participates in diocesan programs and initiatives such as
the Bishop's Stewardship Appeal,
and
Our Heritage, Our Hope.
The generosity of our parish is impressive. In addition to all the important and meaningful things mentioned above, the parish has completed the construction phase of a major
Church Building Project,
and is making excellent progress paying down the mortgage. It has been said that the way we manage our money is an outward indicator of the condition of our interior spiritual life. While we struggle to understand these issues at an ever-deeper level, we continue to walk forward by faith, discovering the path of our discipleship as we go. We will be adding content to this page in the future. We are very pleased that you have taken the time to read about how we are laboring over these important aspects of our faith. God bless you in your stewardship of treasure.
